A Radical Form of Publishing and the (re)claiming of public space

Stickers in the urban landscape engage with public spaces in a direct manner. Public space is integral to people's ability to express and claim the right to the city, "not merely a right of access to what already exists, but a right to change it after our heart's desire" (David Harvey, 2003). Stickers are ideal for this task, they are cheap to make, they stick to any surface and are * hard to clean. Many protest stickers are attempts to persuade, to bring attention to urgent themes, or are a form of territorial space-claiming. Whatever the goal, stickers participate in public debates transforming the public space into a bulletin board. — Matt Plezier

The Future of Art Book Festivals — formerly known as Fairs is a short critical text by the authors experiences as visitor, participant but also former long-time organizer of Europes biggest art book fair. It challenges the structures inherent in the art book fairs, proposing a shift from fairs to Festivals, emphasizing community-building, exchange of ideas, and inclusivity. By reimagining these events as sites of resistance and collaboration, we can dismantle outdated power structures and pave the way for a more equitable future in the independent and self-publishing scene.

“Loving you is enough…” is a publication that reflects the collective processes of seven years of YUP in form of an experimental and interactive experience. It brings together seven different contributions by artists from the past five realized performance art festivals.
The publication was launched a Kunsthalle Osnabrück as part of the “Bist du bereit?” event series.

Sex work is work is a photo book that compiles portraits taken by Inmensidades aka Rocío Zabala Saboundji to sex workers, between 2015 and 2025. The photo book has a prologue and an epilogue by mericrismas where she accompanies with some reflections about sex work.
Immensidades portrays, from a close look, desire and eroticism as an instrument of power in the hands of its workers in a capitalist world. This book is an ode of support to the collective of sex workers at the same time that it strongly criticizes the work itself: the book closes with the phrase if something must be abolished, capitalism must be abolished. The book is made by sex workers for sex workers.
